Influencing Health Promotion Through Social Dynamics
Presented at the 2014 IBI Forum, this webinar discussed how the emerging fields of medical sociology and network science suggest that dynamic social networks can be more influential to individual health behavior than traditional corporate incentives. To enhance operational tools and strategies, organizations can strengthen their social networks and the "social contagion" to promote health. Highlighting the core skills necessary for wellness managers, this session explored how to create an effective culture of health by tapping social dynamics, using the case of Multnomah County, Oregon (which includes the city of Portland).
